Submission Policy

Who we are:  Sandy Feet Publishing BMI / Sandy Cove Publishing ASCAP are licensed publishing companies run by composers who have been in the business of music for nearly 30 years. We are always on the look out for great songs to shop to recording artists, producers, A&R and others. We are also looking for music to complete in house projects, which we distribute to film and TV studios worldwide in cooperation with Down Island Records. We work directly with Down Island Records and other companies to produce music that is distributed for retail sale worldwide as well. We specialize in independent bands of all flavors, Music for film, video and TV, Christian music, Christmas music, children's products and personal advancement products. What we have no part in is music of an offensive nature or negative thought.
  Music Submissions:
What we DON’T want: If you song has been signed to another publisher, has been entered into a song contest, performed by a band or circulated online, please do not submit that song. It is not something we will sign.

To Submit Music:
 You MUST first obtain permission to submit your music. We DO NOT accept unsolicited submissions. We DO ACCEPT e-mail permission to submit requests. If you are submitting through a link at a songwriting association you already have permission to submit. Please put the subject line that your organization says is required. If you do not, you will be filtered and lost.
We are not trying to be unreachable but we must know what is coming and from whom. When you write us, be sure to tell us what you are submitting because what you are submitting will determine where you send your submission.  When you receive permission you will also receive an address and name to submit your work to.
We have found that it is easiest for us to receive MP3 files or links to online music. Online music that is distributed, however, is not something we want to hear. Most of the writers we work with have found that a private site with songs loaded to it is the easiest way to do business and we agree. You can link directly to the song and no one else knows it is there.
We have no stock in Apple but we prefer to use their .ME MobileMe account We ourselves use a .me account with a password protected, semi public folder. Our staff uses our MobileMe account daily with great success.

Please include with your submissions:
1. A brief letter telling us who you are, what you are submitting and how to contact you. 2. A CD embedded with your music. 3. Lyric sheets of each song that contains words 4. A list of writers associated with each song, the percentage of ownership that each songwriter owns and affiliations of each writer (ASCAP, BMI, etc.)  If we select your work to be used in a project or to be shopped, you will be offered a standard publishing contract and you will be given ample time to review the contract and/or seek the advice of your attorney.
